Comics- Fictional or Real cities?
I want to start writing my own comics, I have most of my characters set up and a few villains to start with, but what I want to know is should I use real cities or fictional cities? I think both have their pros and cons.

You should use real cities, but change them slightly and give them fake names. Like how in GTA Liberty city is based on New York.

Well, sometimes people like to read about heroes in real cities, especially if they live there or near there. But you have to do your research! If you put an ocean port in Kansas, it won't work. Swamps in the Colorado Rockies...? IDTS. Large Asian populations in small towns in Wisconsin...? Pretty unlikely.
Try to keep the jarring/unrealistic elements to a minimum.

Do what dc does. Fake cities in the real world. Eg. metropolis, gotham, star city
