I have done both, a Sr living center is where you stay there and take care of the residents of the home. A home health aide goes from home to home to take care of people in their environments. They are both awarding jobs, I personally preferred the home health, the pay was a little better plus we got a mileage check, (although the driving put mega miles on my vehicles) The only thing I didn't like was when you got a bossy or snooty person to take care of in the house. I guess as far as which is harder, I'd have to say the home job is harder because you can' t ask anyone for help moving someone if needed. good luck.

I did it for a while when in college. The pay is low, and while it's gratifying to help someone out who needs and appreciates you, it's very isolating work. There is little social interaction, and the clients can be demanding or difficult. I think a lot of the job satisfaction wears off quickly, and the work becomes monotonous. It's great as a temporary position, but there is no real room for advancement, and often no benefits provided.

just get your CNA license ... there's tons of jobs you can get with that, and the majority of them do not pay minimum wage.. I know CNA's to make a very decent living... do your research.. I work for private pay agencies so i work with alot of wealthy elderly people...it can pay off...I work in 2 nursing centers to & the pay is not as good n nursing centers, but its decent & u can always pick up extra hrs n nursing centers, but my advice to u is GET CERTIFIED, GET U SUM EXPERIENCE & GET OUT AT THE HOSPITALS, OR FIND SUM PRIVATE PAY ..U CAN DO ALOT WITH A CNA, BESIDES CLEANING POOP, WHICH IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE THINK WE DO FOR A LIVING...I LOVE BEING A CNA,, IT BRINGS ME JOY HANGING WITH THE ELDERLY EVERYDAY...
