What happens if there is a dead botfly in my kitten?

Welli found this kitten on the side of the road and she had 2 botflys in her, one was quite big and easy to get out while the other was very small and hard to remove well the kitten was in a lot of pain she moved and I lost grasp of the botfly larvae now I don't know if it is dead or not but it went back in the hole and I haven't seen it sence now she's not old enough to eat cat food but I got her formulated cat milk and every time I feed it to her she pukes, and I try soft canned cat food but now she's got the poops and it's runny maybe gos 5 or 6 times a day I was wondering if that's just a side affect of a possible dead bot fly larvae

This will not answer about a dead one, but it will give you some insight. Try putting vaseline over that hole and see if it will come up for air.

The bot fly will have to be surgically removed if it is dead.

If the bot fly was alive then you'd have to put Vaseline on the skin around it, and put tape over the hole the bot fly will try and come out for air, and you could grab it.

But the bot fly is dead so the cat needs to go to the vet immediately.

Take her to a vet NOW! He needs to clean her wounds of botflys (maggots), and give her medicine to kill them. If there is one maggot in there, there are probably 100's. You can't doctor her yourself. Left alone, the maggots will spread throughout her body and kill her in a very short time.

Please take that poor kitten to the vet asap!
