How do you make bacon?

I've never made the stuff before. Guidance would be helpful. (also some dos and donts would be nice too.)

If you're talking about *cooking* bacon - not actually killing the pig and getting the meat from it's carcass - then:

You need a good pan. Turn the heat on medium. Place a slice of bacon at a time next to each other in the pan. Flip frequently to prevent sticking. I prefer using a fork to a spatula. The slices will shrink as they cook, and you can add more slices. When it gets nicely reddish brown, remove it and place it on a plate covered with a paper towel to drain.

This is the color at which you want to remove it: http://kathskitchensync.files.wordpress.com/2012/0...

Smoke the fresh pork in by hanging in a smoker using hardwood shavings.. The longer the time the better it tastes.

Find a male pig. Find a female pig. Get them to have intercourse and produce a baby pig. Wait for the baby pig to grow older and bigger. Kill it. Strip its skin.

There you go, you've got bacon.

You don't, you buy it. You prepare it by frying it in a tiny bit of oil. You can microwave it as well but it's not as nice.
