What genius goes to commercial with 2 laps to go?

It happened here too. I'm pretty sure this is the failure of the local affiliate because there was a commercial for my local news during the break, as if I'm going to watch it after that. My local ABC affiliate is garbage anyway so I could see them screwing up like that.

I just did a bit of looking around on the Internet and I'd guess we must live in the same area because it was only the Memphis affiliate who had the issue.
