Airgun laws in California?
Hi, I want to get into airguns but have been having trouble finding the laws for California. So what regulations are there for airguns here? Specifically concerning ownership and where you are allowed to shoot them. It would also be great if someone could link me to a website that has all of them. Thank you!

California is an anti-gun state, but, they're one of the more airgun friendly.
Airgun Sales

CA has one of the best shops in the country
The last two are excellent for selection, prices and service as well.
Hunting regulations

The one change I'm aware of is. CA has now made it legal to hunt turkey with a .177 caliber
California does not restrict the sale of airguns.

Some retail outlets may only sell to those 18+, but that's store policy, not the law.

Just like any firearm, treat an airgun accordingly too. Don't wield an airgun in public. Keep it in a bag or case with the gun unloaded as you transport it from one place to another. For storage in the house, it is best to have proper and secure methods as well. You may need some sort of permission from your apartment or condominium management, just to be sure. But if we know, many renters have guns in their residence, but by being discreet in transporting and storing them, they don't really get into any issues.
Just like some other "tools", how you handle them or purposefully wielding them like you are a threat to anyone around can create a commotion.

Anyone 18+ can buy an airgun, aslong as your not using it in a public park or small apartment and sometimes condos you'll be fine. I shoot my daisy in the back yard, the canyons or where ever. Just use your common sense and don't walk with an air rifle while walking down the street.
