Question

For those who LITERALLY ACCEPT the Bible passages about homosexual relations. . .
 
1) With respect to Leviticus 20:13: ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."  DO YOU AGREE THAT THEY SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH IN THIS DAY AND AGE? WHY OR WHY NOT?

2) With respect to Leviticus 20:9 "Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. Because they have cursed their father or mother, their blood will be on their own head. DO YOU AGREE THAT IN THIS DAY AND AGE, PEOPLE WHO CURSE THEIR PARENTS SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH. WHY OR WHY NOT?

Many people here on R&S refer to the Bible as their exclusive and sufficient guidance on subjects such as homosexuality.Despite this, few claim to have taken the action commanded by God, even in the face of a clear violation. If you are aware of the violation, then how are you excused from taking action? Are you, by your failure to act, as guilty as those who violate God's Word?

What I hope for are reasoned opinions, reconciled with scripture, which explain how a believer who accepts scripture literally, may introduce the material forbidding certain acts, yet fail to recommend, or take upon themselves, the action commanded by God.

Answer to # 1. No, homosexuals, gays, and lesbians should not be put to death. We don't live under the Old Testament Law in which the moral and civil requirements are both in effect. Instead, as Christians we are to pray for the salvation of those who are lost in their sexual sin. We are to treat them with dignity, as is befitting people who are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). However, we are not to support legislation that gives them special rights nor are we to support a redefinition of marriage. Furthermore, there is no New Testament admonition to kill homosexuals. In fact, when Jesus dealt with the adulterous woman who, under Old Testament law would've been put to death (Lev. 20:10), Jesus forgave her and told her to go and sin no more (John 8:3-11). 

But then, what do we do about the Bible saying to kill homosexuals?
"If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them." (Lev. 20:13, NASB)
"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." (Lev. 20:13, ESV)

Answer to # 2.) This is one of those "Yes, but…" questions that require serious explaining. Leviticus 20:9 says, “If there is anyone who curses his father or his mother, he shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother, his bloodguiltiness is upon him.”

 First, a note on the last part of the verse. “His bloodguiltiness is upon him” basically means that he brought this punishment on himself. He knew what he was supposed to do, and he didn't do it. Also, it is important to remember that the Mosaic Law was for God’s covenant people, Israel, living in a theocracy. The Old Testament Law is not in force today (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15).

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 expands on the law:

If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or his mother, and when they chastise him, he will not even listen to them, then his father and mother shall seize him, and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gateway of his home town. And they shall say to the elders of his city, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and a drunkard." Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel shall hear of it and fear.

 The context of a passage is crucial to understanding what it means. Taking these two verses by themselves, one could come away with a negative attitude toward God and His Word. In the Leviticus passage, this law is part of a section dealing with egregious sins, sins that would tear a nation and family apart. The trespass in question was not a casual, slip-of-the-tongue curse, but a deep-seated rebellion, an ongoing attitude of hatred that had to be dealt with severely. In other words, the punishment was not for minor infractions but for determined defiance.

You cite OT law for the ancient Hebrews. It's anachronistic. No longer binding. But see NEW Testamant teaching:

1Cr 6:9 Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,

If anyone of us went and carried out the verse in Leviticus, we would be guilty of murder.  Just because the Bible says something does not mean our government has chosen to implement that into law.

Ultimately God will judge each and every one of us for our actions while here on earth.

Nick and Norah showed you bible truth, its not just homosexuals that are in Gods disfavor-- Yet teachers tell these who practice the sins that they are saved, some baptize babies and tell them they are saved yet when grown up practice those sins. mentioned also at Galations 5:19-21 is another list that teaches one will not enter Gods kingdom( eternal life) --- not a single mortal on this earth knows if another is saved-- run from those religions.

I believe what the bible says but I am in no place to punish people for things like that. I will allow God to do what he pleases and punish those that need to be punished in the way that he pleases. I also make no assumptions of who shall be punished as I really have no idea.

This is important to know. 

That was the old Law Covenant for the nation of Israel only. It was meant to make sins manifest. They did not recognize sin then. They had to be prepared to except Jesus as their redeemer. Jesus ended the mosaic law at his death. Before he died he instituted a new covenant. We live under the law of love and mercy now.
The Law covenant between Jehovah and the nation of natural Israel was a national covenant. One born a natural Israelite was, by birth, in the Law covenant and was thus in this special relationship with Jehovah. The Law, transmitted through angels by the hand of a mediator, Moses, was made operative by a sacrifice of animals (Ga 3:19; Heb 2:2; 9:16-20) The high priesthood passed by descent from Aaron to his sons, Eleazar succeeding Aaron, Phinehas succeeding Eleazar, and so forth.—Nu 20:25-28; Jos 24:33; Jg 20:27, 28.
The terms of the Law covenant were that if the Israelites kept the covenant they would be a people for the name of Jehovah, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation, with His blessing (Ex 19:5, 6; De 28:1-14); if they violated the covenant, they would be cursed. (De 28:15-68) Its purposes were: to make transgressions manifest (Ga 3:19); to lead the Jews to Christ (Ga 3:24); to serve for a shadow of the good things to come (Heb 10:1; Col 2:17); to protect the Jews from false, pagan religion and preserve the true worship of Jehovah; to protect the line of the seed of promise. These spirit-begotten, anointed brothers of Christ become underpriests of the High Priest, “a royal priesthood.” (1Pe 2:9; Re 5:9, 10; 20:6) These do a priestly work, a “public service” (Php 2:17), and are called “ministers of a new covenant.” (2Co 3:6) These called ones must follow Christ’s steps closely, faithfully, until laying down their lives in death; Jehovah will then make them a kingdom of priests, and will reward them with immortality and incorruption as joint heirs in the heavens with Christ. (1Pe 2:21; Ro 6:3, 4; 1Co 15:53; 1Pe 1:4; 2Pe 1:4) The purpose of the covenant is to take out a people for Jehovah’s name as a part of Abraham’s “seed.” (Ac 15:14) They become the “bride” of Christ, and are the body of persons whom Christ takes into a covenant for the Kingdom, to rule with Him.
