what pisses you off about religion?

I hate that religion preaches charity, yet most of them have more money than Apple or Coke.

What I hate the most about religion is the way that religious people think they have the right to impose on the lives of others, for their own selfish reasons limiting other people's rights. Religion has fcked a lot of people over in this way.

As for the epitome of ridicule in religion. It's definitely Scientology. It wouldn't even make a good novel, which by the way is what it's founder did before becoming a prophet, he wrote sci-fi novels...

Mostly the hypocrisy.

When people are called religious (or having "found Jesus") they tend to be viewed as somehow morally superior. In fact, misdeeds can be completely brushed off if religion is viewed as the driving factor behind it and becoming religious is seen as an atonement. All the while, the religious spout off about justice, good deeds, and being kind to one another...

While preaching that the people you are being kind to may not necessarily make it to heaven, all because they didn't believe in the same god, or same religion, or the same part of the same religion. It's nonsense, and the worse part is, they actually have influence in government just because they go to a building to wish really hard at their imaginary friend that things get better. (And wishing really hard is viewed as better than actually getting up and doing something about it, because it's not seen as "holy" if the person doing the work isn't religious.)

There are many things I hate about religion, but I should stop here before I go into an even longer rant.

Nothing really pisses me off about it. However, I do not like how people use religion as an excuse to be hateful and look down on others. And it is even more disturbing when that person comes from a religion that specifically tells them not to act like that, and yet that this the sin they commit the most.

I hate that they terrorize their children into believing they are born broken and deserve to suffer for eternity in this imaginary place of burning. I despise the way they demonize homosexuality...I actually see red at this one.

The most ridiculous is their claim to religious entitlement.

The childish scare tactics of eternal punishment. I wouldn't say it pisses me off as I get pissed off very rarely. It makes me feel sad for them.

The religious.

People who don't believe in God who are intolerant of my beliefs and try to make me feel like I am not entitled to think for myself. While criticizing religious people for not thinking for themselves and being intolerant.

edit: I guess in short what I hate is the hypocrisy of non-believers.
