How deluded does one have to be...?

In order to proclaim that a deity killing children is perfectly justified simply because "he gave them life so he can take it away" while still claiming moral superiority over those who do not believe their particular bronze age myths?

Would these kinds of people technically qualify for mental treatment at the nearest psychiatric ward?

Update:

@No Chance: Who said I was?

@Top Contributor: Such as....? Also, what does that have to do with the question?

The notion that religions occupy the moral high ground is laughable. Provably so.

Being overly zealous is a design flaw in most world religions. And yes, the mental hospitals are full of such "Christians." I should know: I've been there twice myself, mostly for writing stuff like this, lol.

Not very. God is all about the submission of mankind to him. If one buys that there is a god (that's the delusion) then accepting the submission to him is natural. He is a Bronze Age Myth, but dominance and submission are realities in the natural world.

If they were a minority, most certainly. In fact, recent studies show that they have dysfunctional brains. The damage is easily curable with regular daily meditation, but Christians think that meditation is toying with evil and it allows one to be possessed by demons, so they cannot take advantage of the very thing they long for.

Death is a natural part of the life cycle, just as much as birth is. We don't understand it really, and we can't avoid it, but we can accept it and do as much as we can with the time we have left.

God is a jeleous God The funny thing is atheist like Hitchens point out that the destruction of the akkadians by the jews was morally wrong. The funny thing is it proves God! When the jews acted like the heathens God destroyed them too

Perhaps they should go get treatment. However, they would have to be kept isolated. If they were around the other patients who were doing well and on the road to recovery, they would drag them down and impede their progress.

They do qualify for mental treatment, but, unfortunately, no one can make them go. Instead, they all go to group reinforcement sessions called church. Scary, huh?

You make a good point - can't argue with that.
