Campbell's Condensed chicken noodle soup. Nutrition label wrong?
It says serving size 1/2 cup for 60 calories. It then says servings approximately 2.5 cups. When I pour it out of the can. It measures just over 1 cup. So should I just do 140 calories or follow the 2.5 cups X 60. Im confused at the label. Thanks

You are supposed to add a can of water to the pan along with the condensed soup. That's how it gets to the serving size and calories (obviously water doesn't add any calories). The serving size is 1/2 cup after the water has been added.

Most codenced soups require you to add at least 1 cup of water to the soup before cooking. Which would make it a whole lot closer to the 2.5. The 1/2 cup is the recommended serving size = 60 Cal. Adding water doesn't add calories, just volume. so 1 can of soup + 1 can of water = app 4 servings @ 60 cal each!!
I hope this helps!
Cheers

It's condensed. Meaning you need to add the water back into the soup before you can start measuring or counting the calories.

I think you should follow the 2.5 cups X 60. It seems perfect according the reading you mentioned on the nutrition label.
