I know 1984 addresses how government will turn mankind into collectivist zombies who can't reason naturally, but does it just leave out the illuminati antichrist empire?

Orwell wasn't that stupid.
New name for surveillance cameras: "Orwells".
The Illuminati ceased to exist in 1786. They were a political group opposed to the establishment of state religions and to the idea of ruling monarchs in general. They were real republicans (not American Republicans because the US Republican Party did not then exist.)
Some were Freemasons, not all. There was never any formal association between the groups.
The Illuminati do NOT exist any more. The "modern" Illuminati are a joke dating from the 1970s.
If you think they are some great powerful secret society, then perhaps you can explain why there are at least 34,000 questions about the supposed "Illuminati" on Yahoo! Answers going back five or more years and hundreds of web pages promoting them, but next to no mention of them in newspapers. radio or TV news?
Why is it that if this group is so secret that half the teenagers with net access seem to know something about it, (usually wrong) and yet other media has hardly heard of them at all? Could it be that real journalists, who are usually adults saw the fnords and know that it is all conspiracy nonsense?
Big hint. Check out the "Church of the Sub-Genius" and the Discordians. All hail J. R. "Bob" Dobbs!
