Do boy babies come later or earlier than Girls?
My daughter is expecting in another country and I don't know when to go over to be there. Do second babies come quicker. My distant memory says they do but I'm not sure what is the usual???

Well my family went;
1st baby (boy) ; 10 days late
2nd baby (girl) ; 10 days early
3rd baby (boy) ; Born on due day
4th baby (girl) ; Born 1 day late by Cesarean section
So no, gender and baby number wouldn't affect the baby's birth date.
However, you could go over a week or two before your daughter is due, maybe she'd like the extra help in late pregnancy with the other little one, it might be a bit of a handful if her partner is working. You could stay for around a month to help with the new baby as well, this happened to a family friend a few months ago, her mother came over a few weeks before her 3rd baby (a girl) was born, who was also late, and she appreciated the extra help, just a suggestion :)

There's no distinction with boys or girls when it comes to giving birth. Both my boys were late, my second was even later than my first. My sister's second child (also a boy,) was early. My friend has two girls and they were both late too. I can give you a dozen examples and they'll all be different, regardless of the gender. So there's no way to tell.
But in my country there's an old wive's tale that boys are usually late in comming and developing mile stones, because they are lazy. haha.I almost believe it because my boys were both so late and my eldest refused to crawl and started walking late. My youngest seems to be going to same way. hee hee.
But there really is no way to tell. You might have to rely on the doctor's estimate.

The sex of the baby plays no bearing on when he or she is born. Some people say 2nd babies come earlier but there are plenty of 2nd or 3rd time mums who go past 40 weeks.

Your distant memory is of myths, and either sex can be born early or late. First labours are usually the longest, so maybe that's what you are thinking about.

Every pregnancy is different. The gender completely has NOTHING to do with the birth.

Second labors are usually shorter. This doesn't mean that labor necessarily begins earlier. (And the sex of teh baby is completely irrelevent.)

Some do some dont. Doesn't matter gender or number of child, it'll come when it's ready to come
