Personal training, is it worth it?
I recently joined the gym and had a free personal training session. I really enjoyed it as it helped me focus and get started in the gym. However at £30 per hour and working part time, I can only afford to have one session every other week so twice a month. Is it worth it or will it be a waste of my money if I am only having it that often?

Not really as most gyms should offer free programmes and will certainly have instructors available to advise on things, techniques etc for free anyways.
Once you have your first programme you will need to stick to it for 4-6 weeks and then slightly change and increase things - either, levels, duations, intensity etc.
Get a programme from the instructor and then book back in again in 4-6 for a programme update.
Fitness is not that hard to understand and once you have been going for a while you will become more comfortable with all the excercises and be able to set your own routines depending on your goals

It will be worth it if you learn things from your trainer. If you just use them to push you doing the same routine over and over then in my opinion it is not worth the money.
When I first started the gym I used a trainer once a week for 8 weeks, and attended the gym 3 times a week working by myself. My trainer taught my how to lift weight properly with good form which gave me the confidence to read around to find the rest out for myself.

Hey, I think it depends on the intensity of your workouts considering as you are only able to do them twice a week; personally I don't think it's worth it because you lose £60 a month for a 2 hour workout whereas you can just go on YouTube a do a collection of different workouts for free (:
