I think I might have a hairline fracture in one of my metatarsals?

It's a really stupid story but basically I was in the shower and slipped a little bit and slammed my left foot down on the ball of my foot and I felt a stabbing pain in it. There's a *very* slight but constant pain deep in my foot about an inch below my toes that flares up when I walk or bend my toes. There's no swelling or bruising or visible deformity(basically my foot looks like it normally does but hurts). Is it worth going to the doctor or will it heal on its own?

I recently broke my metatarsal in my left foot. It was very painful and I was barely able to walk after it broke. My foot swelled up after an hour after it broke. So you might have broken it. I would get it checked out.
