Is there a grace period for craigslist free cat in California Simi Valley. I want to get the cat back.?
I was under-duress by my adult daughter who persuade the lady to take the cat now. The lady was only going to look at the cat. She wasn't ready to take the cat didn't have a crate and was in the process of moving. I didn't want the cat to under go stress. I told the lady I'd take care of it till she's all move in, it would give me time to think if I could give it away. My daughter force the lady to take it. I was under-duress as my daughter behind me kept on forcing the issue of taking it. After every word I would discourage her to leave it come later. I feel that I made a mistake in giving away the cat . I want it back to keep, is there a grace period for a free cat in California Simi Valley. I gave away a free cat. Thanks
I have the lady name and street name. She lives within walking distance, it could be they didn't move in yet, it has a sold sign. The cat went because 2 cats fight, one belongs to my daughter, the other mine. The cat reminds me of a monkey, big with long legs. I think it was a tom cat and lovable. I am afraid she'll say no, would like to visit the cat at least, but also afraid she'll say no. I am sure I will be seeing them in the near by park, they are close in a walkway leading to the park. I am also afraid they'd think I'm stalking. I'm just sick about it can't eat, can't sleep, can't think, feeling sick. I gave away my baby ;'(
sold sign meaning they just bought the place. I'm not a foster care pet. I'm not experience in what to do. I was pressure into giving up the cat, if I can turn the clock I would do it different.

You already gave the cat away. You could always call and see if she's willing to give the cat back, though. She has no obligation to do so, though.

Other than calling the lady and asking for the cat back, there is nothing you can do. There was no legally binging contract singed, and there are no "Craigslist laws" (unless a real law has been broken). You were irresponsible enough to give your cat away to a total stranger who is now free to do with the cat as she wishes, including selling it into research, using it for fighting dog bait, or dumping it in a shelter when she changes her mind.
Don't get any more pets.

No. Unless you have the lady's name and number that you can call and explain the situation you won't get your cat back.
