What do Gay Marriage haters think will happen if they "won"?
Is the outrage over this issue because you think that all men will only want to be with men and women with women? Did you think that the law was the only thing that makes EVERY man from wanting to do each other? I mean if the gay lifestyle is such an awful thing and that it only leads to a horrible miserable life (and the idea that a person can choose what attracts them), why would you give a crap because no one that you would care about would be gay. It's like you think that a constitutional amendment would suddenly make all gays, not gay. (like you broke some horrible curse).
If it were a choice I would still bang dudes, girls are usually overly dependant on their emotions in decision making and never seem to have much sex. (i know there are exceptions)
I don't usually like even hanging out with girls much. I do tend to get a long with female body builders but i think thats because with all the testosterone in them, they are mentally like another bro. So, WHY are you people obsessed over this (I am obviously aiming this at those who still are)
BTW I can kick most of your asses.

Don't listen to the haters. They will lose. Love will prevail my friend.
This same garbage was spewed IN MY LIFETIME against people of different races marrying, people of different religions & ethnic origins, and don't get me started on the bigotry against women that I was subjected to myself.
Take heart. Humanity is NOT represented by the narrow minded bigoted hate filled freaks that try to impose their fascist views on the rest of us. History has shown us that there will always be the a$$hats among us, but most people are willing to "live and let live."

<How long has this fight been going on and people still ignore the underlying problem. Gay activists want to force those whose religions state that homosexual behavior is wrong to accept that homosexual behavior is not wrong. It is a violation of the first amendment to the US Constitution (and other documents throughout the world) that protects religious freedom.
If I own a business, I would be forced to offer benefits to homosexual couples that are reserved for married heterosexual couples. If I own a single family rental, I would be forced to rent to people who are not married. I would be unable to say publicly that homosexual behavior is an abomination to God and a sin that can send the people to hell for all eternity.
In short, it would have the effect of a constitutional amendment repealing parts of the first amendment (much as the 21st repealed the 18th). And, the worst part is that the whole process is bypassing the stated process from the US Constitution to amend the Constitution.
The push for gay marriage is attempting to subvert the courts to allow an illegal act to legalize an immoral act. That should cause everyone problems no matter which side of the issue they are on. The end does not justify the means EVER.>

[obnoxious girl noises]
Pffft no just kidding.
What they think will happen is the world will just suddenly be all straight and perfect and all the gays will suddenly implode and they never have to worry about catching The Gay. Oh yes their children will never become infected with The Gay. They are untouchable from The Gay. The Gay will cease to exist.
Really though all they're doing in stopping humans from having the rights they deserve. It's like way back then, when if you were black you were thought of as filthy and were completely separate from the whites because of their bigotry. All they're doing is voting human beings to be alienated for /loving/ a person.
Really they need to grow up and get over themselves. Because even if gay marriage is made illegal, they can't stop people from being gay.
But no, they think that once they vote it down, then all every sexuality but straight will crumble and they never have to question theirs again.

The "obsession" is not an obsession for me, but a point of interest at best. It is one of the earmarks of the society we live in as are most of these answers, most of which skirt the issue.
If you are crying foul for your social status or sexual pref being recognized as unsavory by a part of society, despite the efforts of many to curtail the inhumanity of such prejudice, so be it. The road to change is never easy, and is seldom won without resistance. If you are suggesting there is no reason behind the resistance you are being equally vacant in understanding, and interested only in your own agenda, which is obvious.
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
If you want to posit an issue of moral law you must first justify a universal moral law.
If there is such a standard, then whose standard is it? Yours? Mine? Who set it as so?
If not universal to everyone, then it is not viable to suggest there is one at all.
Thus, if evolution produced morals (with no reason to do so why?), to whose standard should we all be subject?
Perhaps we should simply recognize that some will always be the watchdogs of the moral structure (and one might occasionally ask), if you are going to break down a fence, perhaps you should examine the reasons for the fence in the first place?
In the end times, according to scripture, there is a "he" mentioned, "who restrains."
Once "he" is removed, there will be no restraint.
No fence at all... I think I'd rather not be here then.... even as muscular as you would lead the world to see you, I don't think much of common life will matter then to you, or how strong you think you are.

Oh, get off this endless, tiresome, personalized hobby horse, will you? There were once signs in windows that said "No Irish need apply", because they were new to this country. There were once literally chained human beings in the US, all because of their skin pigment. Native Indians were once slaughtered by the thousands and/or forced off their ancient lands to march hundreds of miles through winter, all because this government wanted it for whites. The residue of such blind bigotry is still with us, yes, but nowhere near the levels they once were allowed to be. They all won over the public, and so will gays. Nothing is handed to anyone simply because they are different. Not right, but simply fact.
Gays are just the latest kid on America's "different than us" stigma block. Acknowledge that reality, so you can get off the little pony and pay your dues. Because human beings never learn any other way BUT the hard way. We haven't changed from our cave-man ancestor's mentality. And that includes... you and me as well. Deal.
As far as kicking my ***? My lawyer is much bigger than your lawyer ever will be. His muscles are where they truly count. And just to clarify, God says homosexual practice is a sin. Fight with Him over His mandates. Not us.

My interpretation is that marriage is a religious sacrament and that they want it to reflect their religious values. Which is fine if it had not become the law. Once they convinced the government to make marriage a legal issue, the constitution instead of the bible became the primary authority.

Either homosexual practice is anathema to God or it isn't. If it is, then it is up to individuals to object to laws which affect the moral climate of the country they live in what they perceive to be an adverse fashion.
Gays are a very loudly-spoken minority in our communities. Should they drive our social agendas? What about the majority? Do they care?

The fallacy of tolerance is that it leads to a new intolerance.
“Law is in every culture religious in origin. Because law governs man and society, because it establishes and declares the meaning of justice and righteousness, law is inescapably religious, in that it establishes in practical fashion the ultimate concerns of a culture…it must be recognized that in any culture the source of law is the god of that society…Since the foundations of law are inescapably religious, no society exists without a religious foundation or without a law-system which codifies the morality of its religion.
There can be no tolerance in a law-system for another religion. Toleration is a device used to introduce a new law-system as a prelude to a new intolerance…Every law-system must maintain its existence by hostility to every other law-system and to alien religious foundations, or else it commits suicide.” –p.4-5 The Institutes of Biblical Law
Big muscles are easy to bruise. I remember. A nice punch to the bicep would be extremely painful, like a charlie horse. Don't become too proud.
Your eyes can be poked out no matter how strong you are.
Your throat can be crushed no matter how strong you are.
Your balls can be crushed no matter how strong you are.
The bones in your foot can be broken no matter how strong you are.
Your equilibrium can be knocked out by a shot to the ear, no matter how strong you are.
Your head can be controlled by grabbing your hair, no matter how strong you are.

It's a shame so many people still want to live in the dark ages rather than the 21st century.
I think religious people who condemn gay people are pure evil and full of hate.
- five toed slothLv 77 years ago
Most claim they are against gay marriage for religious reasons - many religious people like to stick their noses in other peoples business and hate to see others happy and enjoying themselves.
