Why so many are stealing during this period of time?

the police has not got any rest.

    For those that feel sorry, they could go to the Salvation Army like good folks do.

    People who can afford it donate to different Charities.

    Stealing can get them in jail and take from those hard working who may not be able to replace those stolen items.

    The economy is only better for the wealthy. Real unemployment is much higher than the government data suggests and many people have used up unemployment benefits. Outsourcing has caused millions who once had good jobs into minimum wage jobs.

    People are hungry now in America. People are desperate. I know people who did well their entire lives but now are homeless.

    It's almost Christmas and they can't afford the things they want. I agree with the other answerer we should feel sorry for them.
