Hi NathanaEl, in the UK boxing day is just the day we throw out all the rubbish and recover from hangovers, we don't have any celebration that I know of.
Neither are scriptural and true followers of the word should realise this instantly. The less celebrated a christmas is, the more enjoyable the day is :) I had such a wonderful Dec 25th not a tree or piece of tinsel in sight, we couldn't really avoid giving gifts to the baby niece (who idsn't from a messianic household unfortunately) but overall it was an enjoyable day with family, some of whom keep christmas and my mother and I who don't, and also, I think, some of our obligations as followers of the messiah were also fulfilled through some things we did that we wouldn't have done if we still celebrated christmas, so all-round good for all.
I hope you and your family enjoyed the day :)

There is nothing scriptural about Christmas or Boxing Day.
We celebrate at the winter solstice to replace Saturnalia.

"And the Lord decreed that Jesus' birth was so special that it shan't be celebrated with just one holiday, but with two. And hence he called it Boxing Day. After Mike Tyson. Or George Foreman. I don't know, the dude with the grill."

Boxing day is about domestic servants getting a 'christmas box' from their employers- usually a little money and material to make a new uniform.

According to the New Testament, it is up to us which holidays we celebrate.
"This man puts one day before another: to that man they are the same. Let every man be certain in his mind." (Romans 14:5)
