Not a parent, but spent about £5 each on my niece & nephews.

They've hopefully not lost interest, especially my niece, got her a 5 year diary.

Spent the same amount every year.I wanted to spend less last Christmas but as kids grow bigger so are the prices for the stuff that they want. For infants, you can buy them mostly clothes, formula and diapers. When kids are in the toddler stage you can get them anything but they lose interest as days and weeks pass by.Kids between 6-9 know what they want so they have a list.Having a list makes it easier to get something for them and therefore it is something that they like/want/need.As for my kids, they love everything they got!

Anyone who spends over £100 has more money than sense and is spoiling their kids

My parents are divorced but... one spent $500, and the other spent $500 as well. As for me, I love everything I got.
