Which is better to do? create more jobs or continue benifits to unemployed?

Would it not be better for them to be employed rather than drawing money without hope of the future?

I think the answer depends on what you mean by "job creation".

If you mean make-work jobs, that's a bad idea. You inflate the size of the government, spend money, and the country spends more than they would on welfare and gets back the same tiny bit of stimulus for it. Someone who knows their job accomplishes nothing will not feel better about working for a living--they'll feel even more useless than an unemployed person. It would be like going from leech to intestinal parasite--no one with a work ethic wants that--being a leech for a short time is bad enough.

Now if you mean having the government spend money on things that help the country and create jobs by creating work, that's a whole different story. Unfortunately, Republicans tend to vote down those kinds of job creation bills because they see them as excessive government spending.
