The people on the show called sister wives are breaking the law. In this country if you are married to more than one person at a time then you are commiting bigamy and that is against the law. The women ae just as guilty as he is because they know that he is already married when they marry him.
Why aren't these people in jail instead of on tv?
I don't watch that trash on tv and It is not suitable for children to watch.
I don't understand how out and out criminals are flaunted on tv and nobody is doing anything about it.

As I understand it, they are not "legally" married, but married according to their own beliefs. Thus there is no legally defined bigamy or polygamy in these cases. From the law's point of view, they are simply cohabiting voluntarily, which is not illegal for consenting adults.
I know it used to be different, and polygamous married people were persecuted and went into hiding. I assume they didn't get marriage licenses either; why would they when their own beliefs did not agree with the law?

Who knows. They fled the state or country or something. There all pieces of trash. And it's called polygamy.
