Tricks To Temporarily Lower Blood Pressure?
So I'm getting ready in a few days for a DOT physical.Anyone who holds a CDL license is required to take a physical yearly in order to obtain a medical card and if you don't keep this card current and up to date, the state pulls your cdl license and turns it into a regular class D license. The last time I got my card,I was told my blood pressure was high and if it were high again upon my next visit,I will only receive a 3 month medical card instead of a 1 year card. Are there any tricks that I can use which will bring my blood pressure down to normal levels,at least temporarily??My levels were around 123 over 85.If I don't get it low enough,Il have to go every 3 months to renew card. This sucks too because its between $40-$85 for the physical and I will have to pay this fee 4 times a year unless I can start taking medication to help lower it.Would taking blood pressure meds for a few days before test help at all or do I have to take it long term before it would help???Thanks

Aside from the obvious being diet correction and exercise, start power walking like friggen NOW and in a couple days you may have it down a few points. 123 over 85 would be a 1 year card, not 3 months. Doctors like to pull that 3 month crap to keep making money.
Print out the FMCSA guidelines for blood pressure, if he wants to give you a 3 month card when your entitled to a year, tell him to go F himself and find a new doctor.

It could be anxiety. Anxiety/stress can cause a lot of things, even things that can make you believe you are seriously ill. If you are very worried about it, go to a different doctor or the same doctor and get some more thorough tests.
