As a christian and member of the Body of Christ how do you feel about this verse?
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of Christ arbitrate in your hearts, to which also you were called in one Body; and be thankful.
Arbitrate Or, umpire, preside, be enthroned as a ruler and decider of everything. The arbitrating peace of Christ in our hearts dissolves the complaint.
What do you feel concerning any particular part of this verse. Whether you want to dwell on the peace, or arbitrating in our hearts, or on being thankful for being called in One Body. Your pick.
Thank you for taking the time to post.

One of the best things to do in life is breathe in God's breath! To *in hail: inhale God* filled with His Presence, breathing in Godly air, exhaling all that would sicken us, (the poisons) the bad air… as you and others know… there is a heavenly orientation that takes place inside of us…as we dwell with our Lord Jesus Christ…. peace does enter into our very souls… When Jesus descended into this material world, God's Spirit came with Him… into our earth… so for me, as I merge with all that God is… I rise into all Jesus came to give us… His Peace… does enter into us… especially as we are renewed into God's image, in this we become adorned in such ways… the complaints we have are changed… as we become One with Him, in His Body… this means all of us with each of our roles, individually and collectively are sparked with His Holy Sparks…as in each role a newness of Christ enters us…as the parent, the spouse, the child… we grow in understanding… because when God sits upon our throne, His Light reflects into every part of our persona… as intended… His fruit is placed within our tree… buds. blossoms and grows in us, there for others to taste and eat… so I feel that this verse… to Let Peace Rule… becomes paramount to us, as everything we do or say reflects upon the God we claim to know, giving us calm, balms, softness, etc… sometimes we aren't considering how even our thoughts can proclaim this. I don't know about you feel (unless we share), however in myself I know how I am trying to catch this > my thought life, asking God to transform those areas that are shadowed over, lacking His Light… Paul says our flesh is hostile to the Spirit, so each time I see something wrong within my thoughts I repent of this asking God to help me choose that which is truly spiritual as the flesh reports to the carnal mind. The Spiritual Mind is different. One could add, we either report to the god of this world, or to our Father and The Man in Heaven.
What is good, is being able to recognize this… knowing God is concerned for us, as God is pleased to see us move out of vexations… that come to rob us… The more we dwell upon what Christ is here to reveal to us, the closer we come to realizing the image of God… and the closer we come to knowing and being able to claim this love… for ourselves. And there's peace in this…rest… and joy! This kind of peace evaporates the complaints… causes us all to want to breath in God's air… till our lungs are full… GBUs as our childish fears are soothed... by Christ, and then by His Body, which means us gifting one another with His Wholesome Grace! WE can become known as His balmy palmed ones... restful in His The Peace that surpasses all understanding...God is love, God loves us... to come... into His rest... where we labor not for any breath.

The parties must freely agree to submit themselves to the ruling of an arbitrator. If we come before the Lord in this way, it is because we willingly choose to be bound by His decision. What we do, think or feel must be subject to the light which He has shed in our hearts through His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In that last great sermon before the crucifixion (a process to which Christ Himself willingly submitted for our sakes) He said: "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you." Let us accept that peace and be thankful.
Interestingly I now press a button marked: "Submit"!

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Some might ask how can we do this? what does it take to obtain this? The answer is in the next two verses we do this by and through Jesus and his Word.
Colossians 3:16,17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father Through Him.
We also have peace with Jesus when we worship him and talk to him and the Father during the day and before we eat and before we retire for the night in bed. Jesus is our protector he gives us peace because he and the Father and the Holy Spirit dwell in our hearts if he doesn't you are none of his. Thanks for the question friend. God bless.

My Bible says, "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts..." Jesus promises to give us peace and we are told how to keep peace. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to thank God before asking a petition. Jesus tells us he gives peace not as the world gives peace in John 14:27. He is the Prince of Peace (Isa. 9:6). We must keep our eyes on him in order to keep peace (Isa. 26:3-4). We have a choice about whether to have peace according to this verse in Colossians and that is very true. It's something I need to remind myself about and helps many others to remember. Also, see Eph. 2:14 and Isa. 32:17. When you study the subject it helps to get a handle on it. God bless you much!

That scripture is what keeps me going strong in the right direction having peace is my umpire and it keeps me from taking the easy path.
I am thankful for the verse and for God's love and His mercies that are new every morning.
((Broken Alabaster Flask))) bless you Sis. *Smiles*

being one is a metaphor for being in agreement like 2 people married are one flesh
1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Well that's we're supoposed to do as christians because Jesus said :Peace i leave with you ,my peace I give unto you not as the world gives ,give I unto you Let not your hearts be troubled neither let it be afraid and He goes on telling them that He's about to leave;previously he told them that another comforter would gvien to them/teach them (us also) what they needed to know and remind them what He' said or taught them because in the times when trouble comes it can cause us to forget what we've learned, read or been taught because instead of dwelling in peace of His being with us and trusting in using what we've learned, esp in the hard times, we get out of sync looking at the problem which brings fear, anxious thoughts perhaps leading to wrong actions because we haven't/are not focusing on Him which brings peace(somethng that i have to remember and be reminded of at times, lol)

I think it is how responsible Christians act. The peace overcomes barriers. How can a house divided against itself stand? How can a family of love be set against one another?
