should i trust my cat to go outside?

I live in an apartment. And I live on a top balcony 2 stories high. I let my cat out but I have to watch him. I'm scared he will jump off of it and fall. I know cats land on their feet, but I'm scared he will jump and run off. I have 2 cats. My 3 year old cat is fine going out side. I can trust her, I just don't trust my 4 month old kitten. He's wild.. what should I do??!

  • 4 months is usually too young to let cats out, when i got my last kitten they recommended that they be kept inside until there 9 months old. And at 4 months he might not have settles down to his home yet, so best to bit a while, safer for him.

wait until he atleast a year old and let it outiside every day for like 1-2 hours (keep an eye on it the first couple times) and the more it gets use to outside the more it feel comfortable and will like both inside and outisde
