What is the absolute reality? Please help me.?

I really want to know the answer to this. After going through a lot of metaphysics,I think that my reality could be an illusionary state and there is an absolute reality.I could either choose to be happy in this comforting false state or seek the truth(absolute)however weird it may be.There can't be a relative reality as,if it exists,my assertion and yours must be equally right. But contradictions aren't possible. It would mean that there's both relative reality&absolute reality. So,absolute reality exists.I just want to know what it is.Is it God-a being of selfless pure love that satisfies us(because love is what makes me want it all time).I can't accept that pain could be God because my consciousness hates it.If I were to know that pain is god,I would rather live a lie because i place happiness over the truth.

Update:

@Joe,The fact that you live itself means that either you are in an delusional state or in reality.Since, either one of these states exist, its negation is rationally in existence too.

Sorry, but we cannot know an "absolute reality" because we cannot perceive anything except through the filters of our human emotions, intellect, experiences and conscience.

First consider yourself as a consciousness. You are granted with a well defined body( fully functioning 5 senses) and mind.

Ok, lets start by defining two simple words; Truth and Reality. Most of the time we think Both have same meaning, but not.

Reality, also called as Absolute reality, is something, which is out there, But you can't perceive it DIRECTLY.

Truth, also called as relative reality is nothing but the knowledge and experience earned TROUGH five senses. Its nothing but A (not 'THE')interpretation( this is done by Mind which is also called as Matrix) of Absolute Reality.

For different realms of existence, structure of the Matrix will differ. So, the interpretation also differs.

You can also call that Absolute Reality as God. Because It is THE Only thing that exists. You can impose any feeling on him.

Plz refer Hindu(Sankhya philosophy) and Buddhist books.

I have written many times that a surprising number of young folks are exposed to the idea of "Solipsism" (that the world is illusion....And related concepts) and that it must affect them strongly.

Let me explain this in the simplest possible terms....

    It's nonsense.

The universe existed for billions of years before there was anything more complex than a hydrogen atom. For billions more before any life whatever was possible, and more billions before that life could evolve to the extent that it asks silly questions.

Let me point this out as well..... Even if it's true... that we're all living in containers in the Matrix or we're "brains in a bottle" generating reality with our minds (which begs the question as to where the brains and bottles came from...), we have absolutely no choice but to take the world as we experience it.

No matter how hard you meditate or take drugs or achieve an "altered" state of consciousness.... You will not be able to walk through a brick wall or survive a fall of 200 meters. You will not be able to stand on the surface of the Sun, nor walk to the Moon.

Watch tonight's opening episode of Cosmos. That will talk about reality, not some nonsensical notion.

Observing. Reality is independent to our feelings, beliefs, emotions, whims and fancy, nature does not change because we feel sad one day and happy the next, we adapt to reality and make the most out of what is actually real and can be measured, 'a rose is a rose, it can bloom, it cannot talk' << this is a fact, my belief that it can talk does not change the fact of reality, my perception could change but thats only due to belief.

I try to detach myself from all feelings and beliefs so i can live in the world that is real, and not based upon the efforts and thoughts of others, saying that, because 'I' see something doesnt make it 'true' or 'fact'.

Would caring for someone who's dying change the fact they're dying?

No because its reality, nature does not care if we live or die but we need nature to live, ergo the only thing 'I' care about is making rational decisions based on weather there right (being fact) and wrong (unless i need to lie to make them right) e.g - being anti social and miserable but ultimately using my own time to find cures for the bigger picture.

Its hard concept reality, staying focused on what is and not what should, detachment - but overall, for the benefit of your own meanings that actually help others - regardless to your behavior and personality.

Source(s): Me learning chemistry for my own benefit that will help others in the bigger picture, I dont care about them, I care about whats right.

    Dear Friend,

You have really asked a very tough question. Answer to your question had always been inside you. Only thing is that you could never figure it out. It has got nothing to do with God. Like a teacher, religion only guides us our path, but we should find out the answers ourselves. Try to understand your insight. Practice understanding it. You will surely get your answer. Wish you all the best.

There is no such thing as reality, it's a man made concept. Reality is only what humans consider it to be.
