Can i leave cookies dough on counter overnight?

I don't have enough choc chips and it's too late to go to the store. Will the dough be ok on counter or should I refrigerate? Thanks in advance!

Cookie dough contains eggs, milk, etc, so no, you really can't leave it out. Just a wise thing to think of is never do anything with a mixture that you wouldn't do to any of its ingredients (I realize that sounds weird).

Refrigerate the dough and go to the store tomorrow. You could also find other chocolate/use less, but there's nothing wrong with waiting.

PS: If you have dogs, don't even consider this!!!!!! I read this freaking out thinking of my dog, irrationally probably but I love animals and have so many it's just second nature!

Depends on the ingredients in the dough. If it contains eggs, I would not do this. Milk would also go bad overnight.

You NEED to refrigerate them because they contain milk and eggs (which tend to rot easily)
