There is, throughout the UK and most of western europe.

"a flexible parental leave system which can be transferred to the father, which can be extended to 480 days, with up to 80 percent of salary."

"The father has 14 days leave, of which 11 are paternity leave"

"men have a right to two weeks off after the birth"

"Fathers can take two weeks' leave on 90 percent salary, capped at 125 pounds"

"Paternity leave with the same benefits as for mothers is also available"

"Parental leave...is expanded if the leave is shared between father and mother. The father has separately a right to five days leave after the birth."

    "Five days' paternity leave."

Most Countries with a strong feminist-pressence do have paternity leave.

A lot of Countries also have 'Daddy-days' where you can take 1-2 days a month to take care of the kids, even as they get older, so you can actually develop a bond with the kid, more than just seeing them at dinner.

This is not true in all countries. Many civilized nations recognize the role of the father as being important. Since the mother has spent 9 months previous to the birth, growing a life (or possible multiple lives) inside her body, it is understood that she will be needing the father to step up to the plate, now that the little one(s) are fully cooked and ready to to come out of the oven.

Countries that do not give men access to paternity leave are those that do not recognize women's role as a mother to be important. This is one example where feminism would help men out, if only they could pull their heads out of their rears long enough to see reality!

I think some countries have it, the reason being that the father can help tend to the baby while the mother rest up, good idea if you ask me. A mother that just gave birth needs all the help she can get caring for the child while she gets some much needed rest. It reduces postpartum depression and I don't see how one can be against it.

Did you just push a live human out from between your legs? Did the underside of your body just rip open and require a bunch of stitches? Are you bleeding and confused and exhausted? If not, you don't deserve to be on leave. That is just the bottom line.
