Its a persian cat. You cant really adopt then from a shelter, you have to buy them. They are very costly, hard to keep. Also, they become really big and evil looking when they grow =_=

Hard to tell since we can only see its face and it has its ears flattened down. Doesn't look like a particular breed to me. Just go to a shelter and adopt a longhaired cat. Just know they require at least twice a week combing not brushing ALL YEAR LONG. Also note that the odds of finding a cat that will drink water from a tap like this? Slim to none.
FYI you're not going to find a specific breed of cat to "adopt" with less than 3% of cats on this planet a breed.
