About Solar Panels?

I have UPS installed at my home which is 1000 Watt, 24 V ( 2 batteries of 100 Ah each) and my Load is about 2 Fans and 5 Energy Saving Lights.

I want to add Solar Panels so that i don't require electricity.

Will 2 Solar Panels of 150 Watt each works for me?

You need to check the watts of your fans and lights.

a 100 AH/24V battery should be able to deliver 100 watts

for 20 hours. (The AH rating of a battery is based on an average current for 20 hours, and 5 amps x 20 =100AH) 5 amps at 24 volts is 120 watts but you won't get 100% efficiency so 100 watts is a safe estimate.

150 watts solar won't be enough to charge a flat battery fullyin one day, but if you don't drain the battery completely, 150 watts may be enough for most times. Your computer should be able to give you a low voltage warning, and anyway you can set it to back up your work continuously, so I would say 150 watts solar is probably ok. If you find it isn't enough then you may just have to double the power by buying 2 more panels.
