Is being a traditional pre-1870 slave the same as being dependent on welfare?

is, as cons say, "sitting around eating bon-bons all day collecting a check", when you can leave and get a job at any time... go to school at any time...

the same as "being beaten, with no freedom to leave the plantation, forced to work where and how they want for 18 hour days"?

even by con standards...

Update:

y: if it was only "one" that would be fine... but it seems to be the majority of cons on here supports these ideas? not all... but more than do not

Update 2:

wasicus: most people use this shorthand on here of "cons and libs"... please refrain from answering unless you have an actual answer and not just petty semantics in an attempt to attack me to hide your party-wide racism

Conservatives still think being on welfare is worse than slavery. Watch them below.

    No, slavery was much worse.

But surely you have to admit that all these gov't programs designed to help poor people have disturbingly harmed the black community greatly.

Now that gov't has become the supporter of the family, fathers are unneeded. As a result, we have single moms mired in poverty and too many adult black men behaving as children instead of responsible dads. Over 70% of black kids born out of wedlock.

I've witnessed all this first hand in the years I worked in a predominantly black neighborhood.

No it is not, at all! you know what it is? It's not being able to send your kid to summer camp, It's not being able to afford a car, it's not being able to buy your children the school supplies they need, it's not being able to go on vacations, it's not having the freedom to do what you want when you want! That's what Bundy was trying to get across. The government has black people still shackled mentally by welfare. Yes your basic needs are met and that's ok, but your not living a real life.

So one raciest backward dude spouts a bunch of rubbish and suddenly, he is speaking for an entire group of people. Does that mean that all dems should be judged by what Sharpton says?

    It is not slavery

    But it isn't freedom either.

    True freedom is economic.
