I don't really care what the Quran says, what I care about is how the many Islamic states treat their citizens. So, if Islamic countries use the Quran as a reason to lash women for wearing pants or not being covered, I blame Islam. If an Islamic country sanctions stoning a 13 year old rape victim as an adulteress, I blame Islam. If Muslims adhere to sharia law and do not respect legal marriage and divorce procedures of the countries that they live in, thus leaving their estranged wives with no support and no way to remarry, I blame Islam.

Perhaps you should spend more time trying to educate other Muslims about what the Quran says, rather than trying to "band aid" over the actions of many Islamic nations and their inability to govern themselves without falling into religious squabbles between the two major sects whilst doing their best to wipe out any others.

Frankly, what can we expect of a religion that is the number one buner of Qurans, while it protests when someone else does the same?

Look at it this way, Christianity is barely out of the dark ages and Islam is about 500 years behind Christianity.

*sigh* I'm Muslim. And the only thing I'm going to say is, I really wish people would stop cherry-picking verses from the Qu'ran, without even understanding or bothering to read the context, and passing it off as justification for some nonsensical argument. As for the 3rd world country women thing, I'm a girl. 17. I lived in a 'third world country' for 2 years, but I've been an American citizen my whole life. The media over-dramatizes (shocker!), and the public eats it up. No women are lashed in the streets. Nobody is stoned. I'm educated, have no arranged marriage, plenty of Christian (evangelical) friends. If the people who are throwing verses from Google translate would actually bother to understand what it is they're criticizing, they would know that the Qu'ran is meant to evolve with the times. It's principles and beliefs stay the same, but it's punishments change. This has happened all over the world. Capital punishment in Europe has changed. Death sentence in most states here has been outlawed. Is it such a stretch that Muslims don't actually 'stone' people anymore?

    *sigh*

To be blunt, Islam is a perfect religion for a totally failed culture, one which cannot face even the present, much less the future, because it is too fixated on a past that never was.

Let us know when Islamic terrorists stop kidnapping hundreds of girls to sell them into sex slavery, right ?

torah, quran, kj-bible are all online. you believe in this by choice, I think. it does not touch me in any way, so i do not believe..

these 3-religions are so very similar, they are the same family of beliefs, developed over time.

I am really surprised that they have found so much to fight over. Maybe, it is because they are so much alike.

I've not read the Quran. I dislike all religions. I feel they are manipulative and ugly. I have studied the bible.

In America, most Christians haven't read the Bible in its entirety. Imagine them bothering to read the Quran.

I have a quran and when I came to this quote....................I knew the book and relgion was false.

Surah...........111.....page 61.....................verse 144 for thsoe who have verses.

" and Mohammed is ......NOT...more than an apostle"

and apostle is a FOLLOWER of a prophet................but not a prophet. so if mohammed was NOT considered more than.....and apostle... but maybe an apostle...then the book itself admits no prophetic call for mohammed

and......................if the book is speaking of mohammed in the third person..who was the writer...not mohammed.

if mohammed had written it...it would have said..." I mohammed am not more than an appostle

someone , who ever wrote the quran stuck that in there.....for what ever muslim had the brain to read and understand.....

    GOD...............His angels

then man on earth.....as followes....is the line of revelation.....

    prophet

    apostle

    seventy

    evangelist

    Rabbi( bishop)

    reg member

as you can see if mohammed was not more than an apostle.......then he was never a prophet at all..which tells you the muslims claim he was...but have not understood their own book.
