1. Direct eye contact is considered aggression in cat world. Outdoors when a cat stares at another cat it means I'm here and I want your food and I might kill you. If the cat blinks slowly it means I'm here but I'm safe I don't want to fight. You stared at your cat and that meant you wanted to harm it.
2. Why is the cat sleeping? Because it probably didn't sleep much at all during the entire time it was out of the house! It was scared out of its mind and staying hidden to protect itself and on guard from people, other cats, dogs, any wildlife including raccoons, squirrels, snakes, rodents whatever might be out there. The cat is exhausted.
3. I would treat my cat with Advantage to make sure she didn't pick up fleas while out there and then check her over to make sure there are no bite marks (from cats or dogs) and if you find any take her to the vet to be blood tested for FIV and FeLV which can be transmitted through bites.
4. If your cat was an indoor cat, what makes you think it knew how to come home? Cats do not have the power to navigate back home when they don't have a memory scent of the home, the yard, etc. It was hiding trying to stay alive and scared to death.

"Refused coming to me" hmm.. Have you treated her properly? You know, cats will always come to their owners. Is your cat treated right? Maybe someone in the household abused her. This isn't right. Cats go for comfort and safe.
Honestly,my advice would be for you to seriously take care of her, comfort her, give love, feed her with food n attention. She probably needs time to chill from what had happened. She ran home probably because of frustration, sadness or anger. Stroke her always and just make sure she's alright. Give her treats.
I'm pretty sure she will be back to normal but there's always a reason why a cat would run home. And 3houses down the block only? That is very near and cats are extremely intelligent in returning home.( i had experience w cats, trust me when i say this)
Just treat her right. No abusing/scolding/forgetting to feed her.

Your cat will gradually return to normal. Your cat probably was frightened by something while she was away from home and is a bit traumatized. Walk slowly and speak softly around your cat. When you go to pet your cat, move slowly and at first just stroke the top of her head and scratch her behind the ears and on the neck. Cats love this and it will help relax your cat.
