should i work during college?

Now a sophomore in college and my freshman year I realized how much having no money sucks. This year I plan to work just not at my current job UPS. At UPS I get over 25hrs a week with a lot of physical work usually sore the following day

My friend really suggest I stay but personally the amount of money isn't too important to me. I have a scholarship that helps most of the way and again I plan to work during school but not at UPS due to the physical demand and I would be to tired for late studying. And 25hrs plus 16 credits hours means no free time for anything.

Only good thing for UPS is insurance after a year of work and a 15k grant after a full semester. But again a smooth income of 10 hrs or slightly more is great enough for me. Any comments or suggestions really

  • It would be entirely up to you. Technically, you could ride on your scholarship alone and then take out a loan to cover costs, if they become too outrageous. Then, during the summer, you could always work and pay back the loan, little by little. That is how most people would go about it.

This is a college sophomore student writing this? Really? What is "15 grant" mean? Besides the below standard bad English grammar, here is the scenario you present: between school and work and sleep. what free time is there to "enjoy" whatever money you make at this job?

You should try working if you can. Having some work experience can pay off when you actually finish college.
