Do you believe Jesus, when he said that if you BELIEVE ON HIM, you will be able to do EVERYTHING he ever did,?

. JOHN 14:12.

.

12. "Verily, verily, I say unto you,

'He that believeth on me,

the works that I do shall he do also;'

and greater (works) than these shall he do;

because I go into my Father."

WOULD THIS HAVE BEEN the GOAL of Jesus' Gospel, or would Jesus have added this concept, "off-the-top-of-his-head," as an afterthought?

What would a person have to do, in order to do the things Jesus did? What would a person have to do, to be able to do greater works than Jesus did?

Is any of this at all true, or possible, or did Ancient Christian Cultists just make it all up to ace the pissing contest with the gods of other Religions extant- and win all future pissing contests with an RPG, so to speak?

Yes, but of course then this only works for those who believe that. Some have, and have performed mighty works in His name. Do a search on a man named Smith Wigglesworth, or a lady named Kathryn Kuhlman, or another man named John G. Lake, and you will see that some have performed amazing miracles in the name of Jesus.

What He told His disciples was true, and this fact played itself out in the Acts of the Apostles, and through "them that heard Him" (Hebrews 2:3-4), until the final rejection of the Kingdom.

The Gospel of the Kingdom is the very first gospel of His ministry (Matt 4:17), and it sets the theme for the book of Acts (Acts 1:6-8).

With the Kingdom rejected, these spiritual gifts "ceased" (I Corinthians 13:8), and will not be seen again until Revelation 12:10 (cp. I Corinthians 13:8).

Matthew 12:28 “But IF I cast out devils by the Spirit of God (P), THEN the kingdom of God is come unto you. (Q)”

Matthew 21:43- “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you (~Q)…”

THEREFORE, NOT Christ is casting out devils by the Spirit of God (~P)

    P → Q

    ~Q

    ├ ~P

Matthew 21:-43 “…and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.” But (X). → Rev 12:10.

Yes. I do believe him about that.

It's just that he is in charge of things like that in my life. If he considers something I do as being greater than what he did, I'll let him tell me later, or whenever he wants to. The thing I have to remember is that I'm not in charge of what God does with me.

I believe someone mistook the word "in" for the word "on", and that's the reason for that ridiculous-sounding slogan.

Yes, and the historical accounts affirm that his disciples indeed did! (Perhaps you should look at the context and who Jesus is speaking to).
