When does Y!A award our points?
What time of day or after how many hours? Seems like it's slow to award them lately. I still haven't rec'd points from last night for choosing a Best Answer or for being awarded Best Answer for one that I answered. Also, what time of day do we get a point for visiting?
Also, it seems very strange when it says what was done "Yesterday' when it's still the same day. i'm in the same time zone as Yahoo, so I don't quite get it.
In the old version all of the points came up immediately. Is the new version much slower than the old one in awarding these points?
I'm just wondering if other people have had the same problem or have noticed something similar.
On the My Activity page, it's showing points for answering, but it's not showing points for choosing or receiving Best Answer.
Oh. That's the "My Activities" page & not the "My Activity" page.
No activity posted for points since May 28, & now it's the 30th. I wrote to YAT about it last night.
Looks like it's back to recording my activities correctly now on June 2nd.

I think there is a glitch going on since yesterday when I came on in afternoon as not getting my Notifications when I do stuff on here we do get points though just look on your profile and you should see points you have for the week.
You get points when you get best answer: 10
Pick a best answer: 3
Answer a question: 2
Ask a question: - 5

The points are awarded as you acquire them. Just tested it by answering a question....looked before and after...The 2 points for answering did show on my total points count. There was a similar question asked yesterday and there does seem to be a glitch with the Activity List not updating so if you mean that it is a glitch.
Look at your points total before and after next time you answer and it will show the points added.
My Activity is showing Yesterday...nothing for today but it did show the points for today on my total points graph..
There is a glitch for sure..Deleted questions are not being removed from the open questions list. Just look at your total points * 81,274*
The activity list is the one not updating.

I also think there is a glitch in the system as I don't seem to get as many BA emails any longer but my points are still going up.
You can click My Activity and work your way down through the pages

My point system has not updated for 2 days now and I also cannot ask questions. Oh well....

Looks like everyone gets it that there was some sort of glitch going on. This whole new system just seems a little weird & not always working quite so smoothly. Thanks everyone.

This new format is very confusing and I miss getting picked for best answer! I come here as little as possible now days. It's harder to find categories and sub categories too.
I never did pay attention to when the points were awarded or if they even were, I just enjoy answering questions in various categories.

I honestly wouldn't consider that a problem. I don't care, and wouldn't even notice if points have been added or not. It would have nothing to do with old version or new version. Usually it's right away, but it could also be glitch, which happened with the old and happens with the new.
Just in case, you didn't say if you checked your activity at the "Answers Home" link on the left. If not, go there and click the "Everything" link. If you hadn't checked, maybe it's possible you got the points and just didn't realize it.
