Why is my cat hissing?

Cleo has lived with Syd in harmony for the last 4 years but lately she is hissing at him. He does nothing to provoke her. She knows him. Why is she unhappy with him all of a sudden. Anyone ever experience this?

Once a cat grows a little more they become more unique.. like a person! whats happening sounds very normal. Cleo the hissing cat is obviously wanting to become the leader/dominant....which is completely normal, Syd obviously im feeling is older? that or because hes the male! he holds the king stick and Cleo isn't liking it.

Cleo wants to be all on her own- spoilt. spoilt. spoilt, the best thing for Cleo if it persists is to rehome her to a home where she's the only one!

Well she could be hissing for many reasons. Now when my cat hissing, I believe it has to do with his age because he is an senior. It may be that something may have frighten him or her or may be jealousy. Some cats are very protected of their space. For my cat torments my little chihuahua. What I have been doing it using a spray bottle to squirt him in the face using a command "No! It helps.
