What do I need to pack for college?
I live in Missouri and I'm going to Idaho for college. My school has three semesters in a year and I happen to be there for fall and spring. There is no storage up there so I can't keep my stuff while I'm back at home for about four months until my semester starts again.
I'm going to be living in an apartment with 3 or 5 other girls. We won't know who they are until 2 weeks before semester starts so I can't coordinate anything with them. The apartment has a full kitchen, a big bathroom, living room with cable, and a washing machine and dryer. Each bedroom has 2 people each with one closet.
I guess I'm just asking how much clothes I should bring and little things people forget to bring.

I live in Idaho :) I've never been to Missouri but I like it here and hopefully you will too. I don't think you need too much if that place is already furnished. Winters get cold here, like below freezing cold, so I would bring at least one very warm coat, scarf, gloves, leggings, earmuffs, a hat, and boots. Then just normal everyday clothes for school like jeans and shirts. I'm sure your college has heating and cooling so you can wear your jeans and shirts while inside then just bundle up when you go out. College has you walking from building to building so it's not like high school where everything is in one building, so you'll need to bundle up. I'm sure you can keep your hygiene stuff in the bathroom and kitchen stuff in the kitchen so it's better than living in a dorm. For your classes I would recommend a laptop although most of my classmates still wrote out their notes by hand so if you're like that then lots of notebooks and pens. We only used pencils for exams (Be sure they're #2 pencils because some professors have you fill out scantrons). That's basically it. You don't get a list of supplies for college because you really don't need anything. just take good notes in class and pay attention to the lectures so you can study for exams. Be cautious of textsbooks that you buy since they're expensive and I didn't even use half the books i bought. Just because it says "required" doesn't mean it is. Most professors test off their lectures and you can always google what you don't get instead of looking through the book. buy older editions when you can to save money. things don't really change from edition to edition except maybe practice questions so if i needed those i would just copy someone's book real quick or take a picture of the questions with my phone.
