Old Flame Has To Many Problems for me to handle?

I still keep in touch with my first love from high school. It has been 20 years since we seen each other. However, we have talked about getting together. And had fun talking about high school. He is now 40 years old and I am realizing what a loser he is. I know that sounds mean. All he does is call me drunk complaining of the mistakes he made in life. Or, sends me these stupid text. Yesterday, he tells me his Mom kicked him out of the house. And how he has no where to go. Oh, and how he needs to serve jail time for his dui charges. Yet, he wont turn himself in.

His Mother has told me he has stolen from her and will not support his own kids. At first I had thought I would never disown him. Because, he was my first love in high school. But now, I no longer care he is just toxic. Am I wrong

Sometimes, they are never the same people you knew in high school. I hooked up with my high school flame after 17 years. She found me on facebook. We hooked up at a hotel in Tucson. Later, I found out she was married.

Only you can choose who you want in your life....if he's not someone you want in your life, then move on...you owe him nothing...people change over time and someone who was fun and had potential in high school, may not always live up to that in adulthood...

He's 40 years old and still lives with Mommy. He's an alcoholic. Exactly what kind of advice do you need? If you're a moron go out with him. If you've got any sense at all you will run away as fast as you can and never look back.
