How many Christians know how the Bible was put together?

Update:

John: I'm a Christian. I simply have a problem with other Christians who act like they know the Bible when they don't even know how it was compiled.

Marvel I'm a catholic Christian and I know how. The bible was put together and canonized between 380ad and 422 ad by 4 Catholic councils the councils of hippo, Carthage , Rome and Nicaea .

And this original bible was accepted for 1100 years by Christians all over the world until 1527 when Martin Luther decided he didn't

Ike 7 books on the Old Testament called the deutero canonicals because they taught the concept of purgatory which he didn't like so Martin Luther put them in the back next to the index . Later in in the 1800's these 7 books from the Old Testament were taken out if the bible by Protestant evangelicals and this new bible is now accepted by all Protestants, evangelicals and. Non denominational Christians worldwide .

The original Bible was the Catholic bible and it contained 7 extra books which other Christian denominations took out from the original bible

My Bible is falling apart-the binding came loose. . . It is Made in China-A nation that persecutes Christians!

Okay. . . Now with that said. I know some. How it was originally printed out on papyrus leaves in Hebrew. The earliest were carved into stone! Then translated into Greek.

The Bible was the first to be printed off of the Gutenberg Press.

Either John Wycliffe, or William Tyndale translated it into English long before King James. As a matter of fact, the King James was based off of the earlier translation!

In a general sense I know. By no means am I an expert on the subject.

This is a web page I created that partially addresses the topic:

    http://www.bible-reviews.com/charts_timeline_wbc.h...

Of course: knowing the Bible and knowing how it was compiled are two quite different topics. A person can know a lot about one of those topics while knowing very little about the other!

Someone put a bunch of ink and paper into different rooms across the galaxy......Each room exploded on its own and the resulting force thrust all the papers and ink into the same place forming a bible. I'm trying here folks....I'm trying to sound as idiotic as the smartest atheist. Lol

Again, why does THIS matter? Christ didn't say, "Believe, be baptized, and know how the Bible was put together, and you shall be saved."

Hate evil, love good, And establish justice in the gate! (Amos 5:15)

    MARANATHA! Come, Lord Jesus, COME!

    Not too many, I'll wager...

@@@ ? - "How many atheists know quantum mechanics"

That is so far out of kilter you must have meant it as a joke...

    Well-served...

But just in case you were serious, most xians base their world view on what bibel says... most atheists do NOT base their world view on Quantum Mechanics no matter what you project we think.

My Bible appears to be sewn together by thread. That is much better than using paste, because it stays together much better for much longer.

    Not many...

Research has shown that most of them haven't even read it...
