Why do Christians fall for the trinity theory?

And don't try listing scriptures to "support" it. I've heard all the references and all of them are taken out of context. Creeds doint count because they are not from God.

Not all of us Christians believe in the Trinity. I'm one such Christian.

The fact of the matter, God the father, God the son, an God the holy spirit, are all one God, that is why you can't understand the bible because God spoke in parables an without a parable he did not speak, the whole bible is a parable, a parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning, an you have to compare scripture with scripture, to understand what the bible is saying, that is why 97% of the people who read the bible read it like any other book an you can not do that with the bible, because God wrote it, im just paraphrasing it.

Considering you desire no Biblical proof, you are desiring to hear directly from God and not really man ideas or thoughts. You desire not to know the truth, for you already said proof in scripture is a lie, However even the devil believes and trembles. Are you trembling yet. No why because you first have to believe the Word of God came in the flesh as the Messiah which is backable Biblically. Word of God is Spirit of prophesy. You are wanting a literal prophesy spoken that Jesus is not only the Son of God but is God. Will let me say this. Jesus is part of the Godhead bodily, it does not change, He is part of the Trinity. Seen as One God in three person's clearly shown in scripture, clearly understood when the Holy Spirit speaks to the heart of a believer and not atheist.

Because Christians don't actually read the bible; they just blindly believe what their pastors say. And the so-called trinity is NOT in the oldest bible manuscripts.

1 John 5:7-8, and 1 Timothy 3:16 were added in 1200 AD. These are the only verses that suggest a trinity.

Some Christians, such as myself, do not consider the Trinity to be a "theory". The Trinity is merely an affirmation of the 'persons' of the essence of God the Father. The very words that Jesus spoke to His disciples before He ascended back to the Father after His resurrection are evidently written in the Gospels and are part of Jesus' commands to all of His disciples, both past and present:

    Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

    John 14:15-21

"If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and is in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

They fall for it because the churches started borrowing the concept from pagan beliefs, and not from scripture. But it was easy for them to twist the scritpure to make it look that way, and thus those that were following these false religions started coming to church because it was so "Easy" to make the transition. They brought their money too!

I happen to know many scriptures that will back up how it is NOT true. However, if you are not wanting them, I will not list them. But, I will direct you to this article which will give you a basic foundation.

Trinity is not a "theory". Trinity...trinitas...threeness. The nature of God.

You've heard all the references? Somehow, I doubt that very much.

"And the word of the LORD will be to them

precept upon precept, precept upon precept,

line upon line, line upon line,

here a little, there a little,

that they may go, and fall backward,

and be broken, and snared, and taken."

If you deny Jesus and say the Holy Spirit is something it isn't, you won't know the nature of God. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of all things. The Bible is written a little here and a little there for a reason. It's so people like you won't understand if you choose to be blind, to put it bluntly. I used to be a non-Trinitarian. Not anymore.

Trinitarians teach that the Trinity is not the direct word of God but the implicit word of God in scripture in that we use scripture to prove that each Person is God. The Trinity is merely the explanation for that dilemma. If the Trinity is false, then the scriptural proof that each Person is God remains intact.

Well, what I don't understand is that you say you looked at all the verses, and decided that they didn't have a leg to stand on. Now you are asking why they fell for it. Didn't you see all the verses? You have to know how they think, even a little bit. It's just that you concluded something they didn't. I don't think it intellectually honest to say they fell for it. You know what they are looking at, right?

Using the term "fall for" is insulting and pejorative. Reported.

If for some reason you have a problem with some aspect of orthodox Christian doctrine, there's a civilized way to discuss the matter, and you have chosen not to take that road.
