What do you think of the phrase "live every hour of every day as if it were your last?"?

One day then, down to the hour your death will come and you will know you made the most you could of all your time. Sometimes, thoug, making the most of your life means forgetting the constraints of days and hours, and you want chance for a change for you, live each day as if was the first, and what is hours can also be hyours and have use anew

Note lour is an old spelling of lower, so that ower and pour may share an overflowing cup.

That is an irrational response to something that you consider a simple cliche'! Such symptomatic behavior indicates an emotional content that needs attention.

Does every cliche' make you angry?

It seems to be words of great Wisdom, that you are missing due to your lack of Perspective, immersion in your ego, judging others, getting all self-righteous (angry), all fingers pointing 'away' from the "real work-at-hand"! The hard work! It is quite difficult to live that truth, no security, no illusions of freedom and safety, not being able to take your Loved ones for granted anymore...

"Only a Breaking Heart can Love!"

Rather than run-away from the 'work', from your dues, do it!

Do the experiment! Give it a good honest sincere go and know for yourself!

Knowledge = experience!

Knowledge doesn't necessarily have anything to do with ego (thought/imagination)!

Listen to yourself;

You get angry at (what you consider) a cliche', because of some absurd personal problem that needs attention!

Once you can reel in that ego for a moment... (Oh, wait, that ego IS the problem! That should pass as you mature...)

You say the people who preach it don't follow it? Like how? Do they concern themselves with the future? Buy enough groceries for more than one day or more than one meal? Plan to have or attend events that may or may not happen? Put things off until later? Promise to do something for someone eventually?

I was asked once or twice this....."how would you live your life if you knew you were immortal". ?

And you know what? It don't matter either way...

live your life your way...be true to yourself.

it is an annoying phrase. if you truly never think about tomorrow, make no plans for it, then you will go hungry a lot and other necessary things for living become luxuries you don't have. life takes courage and surviving takes at least rudimentary planning.

Good phrase. To concentrate on now is a source of energy.

Fully utilize your existing available knowledge, time, energy, resources, wealth, etc. to the right pursuits in your life.
