Answer to EXPOSE TRUTH's " Do you think that Matthew 28:19-20 describes the Trinity Doctrine that many claim it is ?"?

Do you think that Matthew 28:19-20 describes the Trinity Doctrine that many claim it is ?

Yes, that is one of many verses.

Update:

@EXPOSE TRUTH - The Trinity is Biblical, though the word itself was invented to describe that which is in the Bible. Deuteronomy 6:4 says nothing against the Trinity, just says the "Lord is One," not "is one Jehovah." Psalm 83:18 is true because God alone is most high, but not that he is one person, just one being.

Update 2:

@EXPOSE TRUTH - I love John 17:3, there is only One God so of course Jesus would call the Father the Only True God, not that it excludes Jesus from the Godhead of the Only True God. He never said "Only the Father" is the "True God," rather the Father is the "Only True God," and guess what? So is Jesus! Galatians 3:20, God is One, yes, One What? One Person, doesn't say that. I like using all the Bible, not a handful to support cultic doctrines.

Why dont the JWs ever point out in (Mat 28:19) that Jesus commanded his disciples to baptize in the NAME (singuar) of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost ?

Why didn't Jesus say in the NAMES (plural) instead ?

Could the reason be that Jesus was speaking of the Eternal Godhead (trinity) here ? (Acts 17:26 and Rom 1:20)

Lets find some scriptures to support our Lord Jesus words here.

(Gen 1:1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

v:2 And the SPIRIT of God moved upon the waters.

    v:3 And God SAID...

Could these scriptures be a reference to a TRI-UNE God in action here ?

    v:1 God --The Father.

v:2 Spirit of God -The Holy Ghost.

v:3 God said - The Word Jesus Christ.

(Gen 1:26) And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.

Who is Us and Our being spoken of here ?

Notice in (Gen chapter two) that God is now referred to as the "Lord God" after the completion of creation (verse's: 4-9, 15-22)

(Deut 6:3) Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is ONE LORD.

Could this verse be referring to a tri-unity of one Lord ?

    (Eph 4:5) ONE Lord.

The N.T has many verses describing the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as being co-equal and co-existing in the eternal Godhead (trinity)

(Mat 3:16-17) Jesus +The Spirit of God + A voice from heaven (Father) =The Godhead (trinity)

(Acts 7:55) The Holy Ghost +The glory of God + Jesus =The Godhead (trinity)

    (2Cor 13:14) The Lord Jesus Christ + God +Holy Ghost =The Godhead(trinity)

(Eph 3:18) Him (Jesus) + Spirit + Father =The Godhead (trinity)

(Eph 4:3) Endeavouring to keep the UNITY of the Spirit.

v:4-5 ONE body (Christ) + ONE Spirit + One Lord =The Godhead (trinity)

v:6 ONE God (Son and Spirit) + Father = The Godhead (trinity)

(1John 5:7) For there are THREE that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE.

(Mat 28:19) Father + Son + Holy Ghost =The Godhead (trinity)

(Col 2:9) For in him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily.

(Acts 2:38) Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ ( Godhead)

having 3 entities mentioned in the same verse does not make them the same person, otherwise you might as well say that the water is part of the trinity as it is also mentioned with 2 others....." For there are three witness bearers,* the spirit+ and the water and the blood" 1 John 5

I know you think that the holy spirit is a person, so OK, can you please show me one just ONE scripture, in the bible that say "the holy ghost IS GOD, or is EQUAL TO GOD, just one scripture will do!

I will come back to see if you have found one.....!

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Either that is three Gods - or one God in three primary manifestations. But it must be one or the other.

    But Jesus says:

Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

    ONE LORD

    Now read this

1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

This verse merely refers to the Trinity doctrine as detailed and explained in the creeds. In other words, it does mention the names of the three Persons, but we need to refer to the creeds to explain the full meaning. The scriptural proof that each Person is God is sufficient to trigger the Trinity explanation as found in the creeds.

The Trinity Doctrine is not in the Bible but I found these Truth's about the ONE True God Jehovah.

In fact, the God of the Bible is never described as being part of a Trinity. Note these Bible passages:

“Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”—Deuteronomy 6:4.

“You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.”—Psalm 83:18.

“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.

    “God is only one.”—Galatians 3:20.

ONLY THOSE THAT OPPOSE JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD ACCEPT THE TRINITY DOCTRINE.

Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. (John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “The Father is greater than I am.”—John 14:28.

Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position.” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.

    JOHN 5:18

HIS OPPOSERS ACCUSED HIM OF MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL TO GOD!

This is why the Jews began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

    Philippians 2:9

For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name.

It leave no doubt that it does. JW's choose to ignore the 100's of places in the bible that shows the doctrine of the trinity (one God, three persons) Or they re-write (mistranslate) their bible to make it say want they want it to say.
