Update:

I appreciate each and every answer that is given. I am a Christian. I do my best not to intentionally harm others at this site. If you feel I have said anything that does, please let me know. My email is always open to everyone. Thank You, Eds

Update 2:

WHY does Yahoo have "hidden answers"? This does not make sense to me. If an answer is inappropriate then it should be removed, if not it should be shown. Does anyone kno why this is being done?? Thanks again, Eds

Update 3:

I generally do not award a best answer this soon but I am very busy and want to make that choice rather than placing it up to others. I enjoyed reading every response and particularly those with "sincere answers". Every one of you are special people that have people who love and care for you. Thank every one of you who answered!

    Good question!

I read my Bible everyday and then study what I have read. I have a reading plan I follow from Gateway. Today's reading will be Isaiah 45-46 O.T. and 1 Thessalonians 3 N.T. I have several commentaries, and other resources I use but I think my favorites are: The Complete Word Study New Testament ... w/Dictionary and The Complete Word Study Old Testament w/Dictionary. These bring to life the subtle nuances and the author's meaning becomes more clear.

I pray daily as well. I have scheduled prayer for many categories daily because there are so many. For example today I'll be praying for: My immediate family (daily), pastor and family (daily), our missionaries we support, members of our church family (7 families). I also fast daily and pray for specific things. Today is for a personal revival of my husband, my daughter, my cousin, and myself. I think it's a good idea to pray in this manner at least once a week for those you love and want to see grow spiritually.

Side note: Ladies who are married and don't know how to pray for your husbands I recommend highly Sharon Jaynes book "How to Pray for You Husband from Head to Toe." Her books are all biblically based and this particular book gives Scripture and prayer for several parts of the body and they relate to Scripture. It also has a section for those who's husbands are not saved so you can pray for them as well.

Eds, You have a wonderful week too ... may God hold you in the palm of His hand always.

I have read all the answers everyone reads their bibles every day and it makes me ashamed to say that I do not. God tells us to search the scriptures daily and to stay in His word. Being a Christian I know to do this. I use to read my bible all the time until my husband died. I find it hard now to do so but I pray that I can start back with the love I once had to read it.

I will soon embark on a year long Bible reading, specifically when the liturgical calendar begins. Funny seeing the description, as I'm also currently studying the Qur'an as well. I'm Roman Catholic, interested in religious studies.

I am in the word of God daily in some way or another. I love it that the different sites provide for us a format or a platform if you will to allow us to do a thorough bible study.

I love the word of God it is what I stand on when I have a problem and it never lets me down.

Jesus is the Living Word of God.

(((Eds)))) bless you good friend :D

  • If nothing else I go over the passages planned for our weekly church service ahead of time so I have some time to think about them...I also just study it on my own time sporadically, and for part of the year study it with a group of friends.

The funny thing is me as a Christian do most of my research on the internet or social networks. I don't ask priests or look for the answer in the bible.

World moves to fast for me to keep up.
