Which can kill more rats in a day? a cat or a ferret?

I think it more depends on the animal itself, like I have four ferrets. Three of which wouldn't even bat an eye at a rat, while the fourth would go crazy for it. Then I have three cats, all of which would kill a rat if given the chance while my parents have cats who just don't care for them.

But I would think more a cat would, as it is larger and faster than a ferret. And ferrets likely wouldn't hunt all day, around the 4th hour they would probably just go find somewhere to sleep.

Between those two, a cat. But the world record for rat-killing in a day goes to a rat terrier at 1700 and something.
