In Michigan, where I live, I have a rather large hospital bill that I cannot pay. What all can be done to collect?

Really nothing. But, you can contact the charitable services department and ask them if there is a fund that can help you out for future services. Hospitals overcharge everything and everybody. That is why the debt is basically unrecoverable. Just go on with your life. And if you have to go to a hospital again, speak with someone in financial aide that can help you out. Every hospital has one.

Jak..This is how uniformed you are. 1: I am a conservative all the while you sound like a left run off at the mouth liberal. 2: I have worked as a farmer and a truck driver for 50 years of my life. 3: I am a below the knee amputee. 4: I have just survived the second catastrophic illness of my life. They can sue you, garnish your wages, place a lien on your house/car/boat or other real property
