How frequently is this right actually practiced? (2) Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.?
Article 23. of the universal declaration of human rights, says that everyone has a right (not a guarantee) of equal pay. But how applied exactly is this right in reality?
By equal pay in the description, I meant equal pay for equal work.
It just seems that me that this equal work / equal pay right may not be exercised frequently.

"Equality" is not about everyone being paid equally. It's about everyone being given an equal OPPORTUNITY. If two people do the same job, but one does the job better than the other, I'm all for him being paid more. He has EARNED IT. I'm not about paying both people the same amount of money. That's unfair to the person that works his butt off to see the slacker benefit from it also.

No one in the US is bound to recognize those and it is covered by US law.
"Equal Pay Act
The Equal Pay Act requires that men and women be given equal pay for equal work in the same establishment. The jobs need not be identical, but they must be substantially equal. It is job content, not job titles, that determines whether jobs are substantially equal. Specifically, the EPA provides that employers may not pay unequal wages to men and women who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill, effort and responsibility, and that are performed under similar working conditions within the same establishment."

Very. How do you define equal work. Women like me frequently give up many years to raise children. Hence pay gap. Is being there for x hours equal work.
Most corporations pay everyone equally based on job and length of time att job.
