UK news. Can English Jobseekers claim Job seekers allowance In Gibraltar?

Hi

If a person is out of work in England can they move to Gibraltar to claim the Gibraltar equivalent of Jobseeker's Allowance?

The reason I ask is because Gibraltar is part of England but has nice weather and is next to Spain. Plus I doubt they have sanctions like we do.

Would you also get housing benefits in Gibraltar?

Are there any links to the Gibraltese benefits system?

I've also considered the Channel Islands too.

Please advise

Thanks.

Update:

If not can they be paid English JSA whilst living in Gibraltar?

I lived for a year in Gibraltar 1993-1994. I had taken early retirement but was still young enough to work. My thousands in crane drivers golden handshake had to last a long time. I claimed job seekers allowance and was refused. I didnt declare the £200,000 apartment I had bought. I told them I was a Conservative Englishman. I said I slept on the beach.

Gibraltar is not a part of the EU.

No come on you're taking liberties now, if you can afford to fly to Gibraltar then you don't need taxpayer money do you?

Get a job BEFORE you go there otherwise stay where you are
