US News. Is New York descending to the lawlessness and chaos of the 1970s and 80s?

Two NY cops have just been murdered. Crime is rapidly rising in NYC.

Back in the early 2000s NYC became the envy of the world in how Rudy Guiliani had turned the city around, zero tolerance policing, no go areas would be taken back street by street. The subway would become much safer. Muggers and thugs were driven from the streets.

NYC becaome one of the worlds safest cities and most New Yorkers were pround and wanted it to stay like that. Of course many liberals want to go back to the lawless 70s and 80s.

In the 70s and 80s, NYC was a dirty dangeous city full of drugs, muggers and murderers. The subway was filthy and very dangerous, heavily vanadalized, urine smelling trains used as toilets, occupied by muggers and drug addicts. Whole city blocks were unpoliced no go areas and totally unsafe for any outsiders. There were over 20 murders a week, many of them unprovoked random killings.

Why are so many liberals against the work of Guiliani do they really want NYC to be like it was in the 70s and 80s?

Do the people of NYC really want to go back to those times? Is NYC in danger of becomming a lawless violent city again?

Giuliani was a stupid jerk and a mental midget. He used to have NY's dumbest round up people on the street he said would look bad for tourism. NY is supposed to have a street life. The 1970s was a time when the city didnt have money for anything. Yes the city was neglected and the federal govt. wouldnt give any money at first. I lived in NY in the 1970s. All this was not attributable to management of Abe Beame or Ed Koch. Giuliani was the one who said to put the Command and Control center in the basement of the WTC that was destroyed.

Well not being a New Yorker or an American I wouldn't know, but there's one thing I do know and I think it applies the world over, once you turn off the screws on muggers, murders and rapists all in the name of justice and fair play, its not long before they're turning the screws on you, that I do know.

As long as poop-colored al sharpton (he has that *special* hue and glow, doesn't he?)

is evading his taxes, and is not in jail for it, New York and the American Nation will continue to suffer.

Liberals want the animals to run free, except when it's in their back yard.
