What did Obama do to improve the economy?

Update:

Specifically....and don't say stimulus, because no credible, not-paid-for economists have said that they worked.

Liberals want to credit Obama for the recent, probably temporary, upturn. I want to know why.

    Well, let's see.

There was the $787 billion "Stimulus" with "shovel ready" jobs.

    There was "Cash for Clunkers".

There were Green energy initiatives such as Solyndra.

There was "Quantitative Easing" which allowed the Fed to print and pump more that $4 trillion into Big Banking.

And, we cannot forget the "Summer of Recovery".

It is little wonder that the US Economy is absolutely "booming".

At the current rate of this "boom" in the Economy, the US should recover all of the borrowed money which financed the Obama "Recovery" within a hundred years or so........if we don't borrow any more.

Well, the ACA will cause payroll costs to rise and reduce employment. Temporary amnesty for illegals will help keep unemployment high.

Oh, wait. You said IMPROVE the economy. I'll have to get back to you.

The economy has marginally improved in spite of the president's best efforts to the contrary.

Here are some ways he cut the deficit

Within his first week, he signed an Executive Order ordering an audit of government contracts, and combating waste and abuse. http://1.usa.gov/dUvbu5

Created the post of Chief Performance Officer, whose job it is to make operations more efficient to save the federal government money. http://n.pr/hcgBn1

On his first full day, he froze White House salaries. http://on.msnbc.com/ewJUIx

He appointed the first Federal Chief Information Officer to oversee federal IT spending.http://www.cio.gov/

He committed to phasing out unnecessary and outdated weapons systems. To that end, he also signed the Democratic-sponsored Weapons Systems Acquisition Reform Act, which attempted to put a stop to waste, fraud and abuse in the defense procurement and contracting system. http://bit.ly/hOw1t1http://bit.ly/fz8GAd

Through an executive order, he created the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. http://bit.ly/hwKhKa

    lol

The auto rescue plan has worked.

The private sector has done surprisingly well under Mr. Obama, adding 6.7 million jobs since he took office, compared with just 3.1 million at this point under President George W. Bush.
