Has Fox News apologised for Steven Emerson?

This idiot, speaking on Fox News said "There are actual cities like Birmingham that are totally Muslim, where non-Muslims simply don't go." He also claimed there were parts of London where "Muslim police" beat people for not dressing in Muslim attire.

Of course he has had to apologise on his website since, and has completely withdrawn this crud under a barrage of raucous laughter. But has Fox apologised for offering this nonsense as fact?

Update:

I omitted to say that the Birmingham in question is Birmingham in the United Kingdom - a city of just over 1,000,000 people.

Fox may be surprised to learn that Muslims are only 4.4% of UK pop. and the vast majority of those are fine citizens. Going by some of their fiction you'd think we were a Sharia state!

Jim - Nowhere does *what* say he was speaking on Fox News? There are news reports all over the Western world that he was speaking on Fox News. Yahoo has the report, for instance.

Update 2:

Well the latest update is that as of today, Fox News has in fact aired a public apology for this buffoonery. Probably this confuses Jim, who seemed to be trying to say he hadn't said anything of the kind, and Jim L. who may well be surprised that the rather savage worldwide mockery of someone "nobody's heard of" has caused even Fox to back down.

Probably the fact that even heads of state were making fun of them that did it.

    Of course not.

The times they have apologized for any lie, misleading or offensive statements can be counted on one hand.

And here's why they can legally lie to us:

Steven Emerson has worked for MSNBC for over 20 years.

He has been a paid contributor.

I know, because I respect his work. I read his book, "American House of Saud".

No where did it say he was on Fox News you dumbass.

Even so, the article said he admitted to making a mistake, not as bad as saying there were 57 states.

I don't think I have ever seen him on Fox.

I have seen him numerous times on MSNBC, especially after 9/11.

You little article is all left wing propaganda bullshit.

was he a guest or is he on staff, makes a difference. I have seen guest on MSNBC claim all whites are bigiots, MSNBC didn't apologize.
